According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings swapped a 2026 sixth-round pick and pick No. 160 this year. In exchange, the San Francisco 49ers traded their running back Jordan Mason and pick No. 187. Mason will pair up with the starter Aaron Jones, who also has signed a two-year contract with the Vikings for $20 million. Mason and Jones will benefit from a bigger and more expensive offensive line with new center Ryan Kelly and new right guard Will Fries, who have each signed multiyear deals that totaled $107 million.
