Surprisingly, Travis Kelce might be returning for one more season of the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs TE, after the recent Super Bowl loss, was expected to retire. However, the new update suggests that Patrick Mahomes’ best friend will likely join the Chiefs again for the next season. Then why are the fans outrageous?
Well, there are two reasons for that.
One was that the new update called Travis the best TE of all time, which did not resonate with the general sentiment as people could agree on Gronk being the best TE of all time.
The second reason was that the fans agreed that it was better for him to retire at the peak of his career than to bring it down with another subpar performance, costing the entire team to lose.
Disheartened by the Super Bowl LIX loss, Travis also has to deal with this online trolling, with people saying he is not even the best Chiefs TE of all time or the best Kelce of all time. Meanwhile, only a marginal portion of fan reactions are assertive and hopeful about Kelce’s future contributions to the team.

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsWhy are we saying he should retire? 800+ yards and a Super Bowl App. He may not be an All-Pro anymore but he’s still a quality TE https://t.co/dlQuJQ9nE2

Should Travis Kelce Play In The Next NFL Season?
One might argue that Travis is not the Best TE Of All Time, but he is undoubtedly one of the finest TEs. It would be wrong to judge his performance based on his age. Nobody can tell if a sportsperson’s time has come to retire from playing professionally unless and until his heart asks him to.
His performance was not up to the mark in the Super Bowl LIX, but that should not entirely be his career-defining moment. Also, it will be worth the wait to see if the Chiefs star could shine again next season with the Lombardi Trophy in hand, which might also be the best moment to announce the retirement.
