LeBron James and his son Bronny are pushing back against a lawsuit alleging their involvement in a November 2022 car crash in Littlerock, California. Their attorneys have filed a response in Los Angeles County Superior Court, denying “each and every allegation” made in the suit.
The lawsuit, brought by April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen, claims the Jameses’ negligence led to an accident on Pearblossom Highway on Nov. 13, 2022. The plaintiffs assert they suffered injuries requiring ongoing medical treatment and that their vehicle sustained damage and depreciation. They are seeking unspecified damages.
In their legal response, LeBron and Bronny’s attorneys reject all claims and argue that any injuries or damages were not caused by them.
“Deny each and every allegation contained in the complaint and further deny that plaintiffs have been damaged in the sum or sums alleged, or any other sum or sums, or at all,” attorneys representing James and Bronny, wrote, per ESPN.

However, neither the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station nor the California Highway Patrol have records of the alleged crash, according to ESPN. The lawsuit was filed on Oct. 23, the same day LeBron and Bronny made NBA history as the first father-son duo.
Reflecting on the moment, NBA legend LeBron called it unforgettable:
“That moment, us being at the scorer’s table together and checking in together, it’s a moment I’m never going to forget.”
Details of the lawsuit involving LeBron and Bronny James

Attorneys representing the Jameses argue that the lawsuit lacks sufficient facts to support a claim against them. The defense maintains that the incident was unavoidable and did not involve any breach of duty by LeBron or Bronny.
The father-son duo is seeking a ruling in their favor, including reimbursement for costs associated with the lawsuit, per reports.
After being selected in the second round of the NBA Draft, Bronny has been playing for the Lakers’ G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. He is averaging 17.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
In 17 appearances with the Lakers’ NBA squad, 17.8 has averaged 1.4 points and 4.2 minutes per game. On Wednesday, the Lakers recalled James from the G-League.
